Round 4

Please meet our amazing judges of Round 4 – Kerrie Carucci, Neil Grigg, Tim Marsh and Wendell Teodoro

Kerri Carucci

Kerrie is a Brisbane based personal, editorial and campaign stylist, content creator and speaker.

Growing up in a small country town in Far North Queensland, her path into the world of styling is quite a unique one. From a very early age Kerrie formed a passion and eye for style & fashion, where often could be found amongst fabric, sketches and patterns in her mum’s sewing room or finding new ways to wear and design her outfits to be individual and unique. Growing up riding horses, her love for racing fashion grew when she could combine her interest in the equine industry and having an excuse to frock up and creating new outfits with her mum Milva Carucci.
Her curiosity for design and natural eye for detail lead Kerrie to pursue a career in engineering, immersing herself in the fast paced Brisbane corporate life and moving her way up through the industry. Just over 4 years ago, Kerrie felt there was an undeniable pull for her to revisit those childhood passions of fashion and creativity. Attending an introductory styling workshop on ‘How to Become a Stylist’, reinforced how powerful the clothing we choose to wear every single day can have effect on our confident and empowered state of mind.

From those valuable insights learned Kerrie realised that she wanted to pursue and develop her skills to help others feel empowered through their own personal style. Making the decision to enrol in a Masters of Advanced Professional Styling at the Australian Style Institute in Melbourne where Kerrie furthered her skills in personal styling, human behaviour, editorial styling and presenting.

Taking a leap of faith, Kerrie pivoted her career from engineering into styling which has seen her passion for style go beyond just the clothes we wear – it is about feeling clarity and confidence every single day. By working with both women and men who have committed to investing in themselves, Kerrie is able to elevate their personal brand, confidence and unlock the best version of them. Her focus is to create solution-based outcomes from her service offerings to clients, business and brands throughout the greater Brisbane area, Sydney, Melbourne & internationally.
Some of her career highlights include: – Working with amazing women and men
– Published in December 2019 Issue Marie Claire- Styling national advertising campaigns
– Winner 2018 Student Of The Year at Australian Style Institute
– Nationwide in-store styling activations and staff training for both Country Road and Forever New
– Assisting celebrity stylist Donny Galella for the TV Week Logies
– Nominated 2019 Australian Style Institute Style Awards including Stylist of the Year & Creative Excellence

Neil Grigg

Neil started making hats for theatre productions in the mid 1970’s while at Uni  and gradually  increased his knowledge working  with both Betty Viazim  ( theatre ) and Jenifer Nairn ( fashion )…..as well as a stint at Opera Australia…. and good old trial and error. With over 40 yrs working in Millinery Neil has seen many fashion changes and dressed everyone from Crown Princess Mary of Denmark to our own Queen of the track , Gay Waterhouse. David Jones carried his label for over 20 yrs and many boutiques all across Australia have carried his hats and headpieces over the years. Today his boutique  in Paddington NSW is the only physical outlet although contact through his website , Facebook and Instagram is easy and quick.

Tim Marsh

Tim Marsh has worked in and been involved with fashion for many years, having sold, created and even helped people to see it better (through his involvement with the optical industry).

Having a firsthand knowledge of Fashions on the Field competitions in Cairns and environs, plus Victorian competitions, as competitor, compere, judge, sponsor representative and organizer, Tim brings with him a wealth of knowledge in all areas of FOTF. He is currently a member of the Cairns Jockey Club FOTF Committee and is therefore part of the team that brings the hotly contested Cairns Cup Fashion on the Field competition together. Tim has previously been involved with the Cairns Amateurs FOTF comp.

He has designed and created couture wedding and evening gowns, racewear, daywear and uniforms, costumes for stage productions and corporate events. Having worked closely with Cairns State High School over the past decade, Tim has created costumes for the highly regarded musicals the school produces, including Singin’ in the Rain, Mary Poppins and Hairspray. Tim has twice judged the school’s Centre of Artistic Development Wearable Art Fashion Parade, a competition that has helped launch careers in fashion.

Tim’s family has long been associated with the racing industry in Cairns and surrounds, especially with the Gordonvale Turf Club. Sadly two generations of bookmakers have left Tim no wiser in judging horse flesh; however he can pick a Fashions winner long before they enter the home straight.

Tim joins our judging panel with a very critical eye and will be looking for classic polish and style mixed with creativity, imagination and just a sprinkle of theatricality!
