The Final Word – Supreme Winner – Sally Mallyon

Congratulations Sally! you are now our supreme winner how does it feel?

I’m honestly so thrilled and still cannot believe it. For a last minute collaboration of two dresses, topped off with a few Target Accessories to take the top prize, is unbelievable. It just goes to show that it’s not necessarily what you wear, it’s how you wear it. My 5 year old Son did so well taking the photos and I think that made winning that little bit more special for us.

You have won some incredible prizes, what are you most looking forward to receiving?

There were so many amazing sponsors and I am very excited to receive their generous prizes. I am probably the most excited to use my vouchers for custom made designs, as I have never had a FOTF custom outfit before. It will be great to put some vouchers towards larger ticked items to help support Milliners and Designers during this time.

On top of her winnings from Round 2 ($1558), Sally has won a further prize pool valued at close to $7000!

Your outfit really stood out for many reasons but that chic mix of high end and high street was really appealing. Tell us in everyday life what do you wear?

Thanks so much, I always try to put an outfit together that is affordable and achievable for everyone. I will usually try to utilise what I have in my wardrobe first before I hit the shops for dresses and accessories and source millinery. If it’s a last minute decision I may even create a headpiece myself. I then like to use a designer staple piece from my wardrobe like a handbag or piece or jewellery ect. just to finish off the look, where I can.

Being rather tall, I really like a longer hemline. My usual day to day wardrobe would mainly consist of long to mid length dresses or skirts, usually purchased from shops like Cotton On, Zara, Country Road and Witchery. I mostly pair with a designer Tee like an Aje or Anine Bing just to finish the look off. I find this look is so easy to wear in the warmer months with sandals. Just add a leather jacket or blazer with boots, in the winter months and that’s got me covered. I can also just pop on a pair of heals and a headpiece, then I’m also Raceday ready.

Are you looking forward to getting back to traditional track side FOTF?
Yes, I cannot wait. Not just to compete or to watch but to socialise. The FOTF Community is such a lovely group of people and I have made friends both interstate and internationally, it will be great to see them again. What many people may not know is that the Races is actually my Husband’s work place and we like to go along to support him as much as we can. So my children are really feeling it that we can no longer go along to the races. Instead we are glued to the TV cheering him home from the couch.

What was your favourite outfit in the competition?
My favourite outfit and my vote for the people choose was Sally Martin’s entry in round three. I just love the textures and the look just screams timeless, elegance. Sally has such a classic and flawless style, which always stands out to me.

Thank you to all of the organisers, sponsors, judges and competitors. You have all created and been part of such a unique and truly outstanding style of competing in FOTF, that has now caught on Globally. Well done xx

Congratulations once again Sally.
Kind regards
